IPA 6.5% ABV
ODELL BREWING CO // FORT COLLINS, CO
Here’s a new spin on a former favorite. Odell has been on the forefront of craft beer for over 30 years, constantly adapting to a (very) fluid market place. Somewhere around 2011 they released a hip seasonal beer called Mountain Standard, it was a formidable 8.5% Double Black IPA. It drank like equal parts Double IPA and Imperial Stout, and at the time it was a highly celebrated release. Over the years, the “Black IPA” trend came and went and the beer faded from popularity. This year Odell revived the “Mountain Standard” brand, taking on a new, once again hip, style: the Hazy IPA. They’ve doubled down on this release, introducing it as a new year round beer. It delivers on what you’d expect from this soft, juicy, fragrant style, with just a bit more assertive hop character and distinctly clean finish. It’s refreshing to witness, and taste, the adaptability of the American craft beer market. Raise a glass to constant innovation!
HEFE-WEIZEN 7.2% ABV
NEW GLARUS BREWING CO // NEW GLARUS, WI
The return of this bright, refreshing ray of sunshine is a sure harbinger of the coming summer. Few beer styles are as refreshing and satisfying to drink as the German style Hefe-weizen. This golden gem is brewed with a large portion of wheat, fermented with a distinctive yeast strain, and packaged unfiltered. Dan Carey, New Glarus’ Brewmaster, showcases his prowess throughout this beer. It starts with the aromatic, fluffy white head filled with notes of ripe fruit, bananas, and a classic herbal clove note through to the fresh, bready malt body and effervescent, just dry, finish. Meant for some of the first patio days of the season. A sunny 50 degrees and a plate of cheese with bread would make for a pretty fine setting to enjoy several large glasses of the Dancing Man.
Double IPA 10% ABV
HALF ACRE BREWING CO // CHICAGO, IL
Sometimes you gently tap, sometimes you hammer. Sometimes breweries just know exactly how to market their products. It’s always a fun, delicious adventure with Half Acre. I find myself in a constant battle between loving their beer for how tasty it is, and loving their artwork, marketing and packaging, it’s a good battle to have. If you’re the kind of person who loves a super un-subtle, resinous, hop jab to your brain, then this is just your medicine. Dose yourself accordingly, the Navaja isn’t to be taken lightly.
BELGIAN STYLE XX-STRONG DARK ALE W/ RAISINS 15-17% ABV
DOGFISH HEAD BREWING CO // MILTON, DE
We are happy to welcome another entry in Dogfish Head’s lineup of ultra high gravity beers. This elusive brown elixir is the bigger bolder version of their famous Raison D’Etra, a super food friendly beer, and a personal favorite. Undeniably robust, it drinks a bit like liquid brown sugar, in the best way possible. The raisins are wrapped up in a swirling sea of caramel, floral Belgian yeast, and just enough alcohol present to keep you on your toes. Definitely a sipper. Find your own raison to add a little decadence to your life.
PREMIUM LAGER 5.3% ABV
WARPIGS BREWING CO // VERONA, WI
Salmon Pants. I mean what more do you need to know? It’s obviously a deliciously hoppy lager that drinks like a good German Pilsner spent the night out with a rowdy American IPA. Refined, yet brash. Go ahead and put this on your weekend lineup for getting the night started and keeping the party going to the point that the Salmon Pants come out.
BELGIAN STYLE WITBIER AGED IN OAK FOEDERS 5.7% ABV
BRUERY TERREUX // PLACENTIA, CA
**Current wild/sour beer**
The Rue family has been making phenomenal Belgian-style beers in Orange County since 2008, but in 2015 they expanded their operation by adding the Bruery Terreux brand to showcase their sour and wild ales. This hazy golden number is a refreshingly tart spin on a spiced Belgian-style witbier that spends several months aging in giant oak foeders (vats). Orange peel and coriander lend a bright and herbal burst to the slightly puckering tart finish, all floating on a light, cracker-like ribbon of malt. It’s bracing and refreshing, just like Spring in Wisconsin. Each sip has been scientifically proven to help melt snow…drink up!
*COLD BREWED COFFEE* NOT BEER
BLEND FROM DULUTH COFFEE CO // DULUTH, MN
Brewed cold, steeped for nearly 24 hours, and served on nitrogen gas. The mellow, low-acid brew accompanied by the creaminess of the nitrogen creates a roasty, smooth, delicate coffee experience. Try it straight up, as a coffee float with ice cream, or with whipped cream and your favorite flavors in Off The Rails. This is also the base for our iced coffee drinks.
